h) Linking your application to an origin page

When our application platform is called up, the calling URL can be transmitted in the so-called “Referer header” of the HTTP protocol for technical reasons. In order to comply with the data protection principles of data minimization and purpose limitation, this URL is automatically anonymized on the server by removing any parameters it may contain. A parameter (specifically: referrer) is then embedded in the URL to recognize the origin of a page request. This makes it possible, for example, to trace which platform or website was used to access the job advertisement.
Important: No cookies are set in this context and there is no tracking across different sessions.
As part of the application process, separate consent is obtained from the applicant via a checkbox on the application platform below the data protection information:

  • With granted consent: The parameter is linked to the application. This enables us to evaluate the origin of individual applications and analyze the performance of different platforms in the recruiting process.

  • Without consent: Although the parameter is technically stored, it is not linked to the respective application. There is therefore no link to personal data, which is why consent is not required in this case. However, a statistical analysis of the specific application process is not possible in these cases.

This data is processed either on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) or - in the case of non-linked storage - on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymized reach analysis and optimization of our application process).
